Kara Kolkman

Regional Economic Policy Analyst

Kara Kolkman is the Wyoming Public Service Commission (PSC) Regional Economic Policy Analyst, focusing on regional issues, including the development of markets, resource adequacy and reliability, and the effect on Wyoming utilities and ratepayers.

Prior to joining the PSC, Kara spent seven years in various trust and banking roles and subsequently three years auditing oil and gas companies before accepting a Technical Staff position with the PSC in 2014.

Kara is currently a member of the Staff Subcommittee on Gas, Staff Subcommittee on Accounting and Finance, and Staff Subcommittee on Energy Resources and the Environment. Kara holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Wyoming.

Kara enjoys gardening, reading, camping, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes with family, and anything where her ball-obsessed golden retriever can be involved.
