Without knowledge of citizen preferences, policy makers most often rely on their intuition to infer such preferences or on biased information provided by special interest groups. Dr. Mark Peterson (Professor of Marketing and Sustainable Business Practices, University of Wyoming) and David M. Feldman (Senior Partner, SDR Consulting) presented the results of a study featuring a large-scale, field-research project composed of separate data collection efforts across 10 states where energy policies have a high profile in public discourse.
