David W. Piroutek has lived most of his life in Wyoming. Originally from Sturgis, South Dakota, he moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming in August 1993. He enjoys fishing, hunting, golf and traveling. He loves to spend time with his wife Rita and three daughters Christina, Rebecca, and Stephanie. He is a member of the Cheyenne Trap Club Board of Directors, Past Chairman of the National Association of Pipeline Safety Representative Western Region and a member of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Staff Subcommittee on Pipeline Safety. He worked for Halliburton Energy Services for five and a half years before Joining the Commission Staff in 1999.
